I did just that on Fastlane.
I also bought a HX van for bits to complete my HJ and the clips were the same.

    Very curious GTS....

I just checked my HQ,HJ,HX and hz catalogues... part 2818034 is listed in the HQ,HX and HZ catalogues as harness to dash panel but there is no listing in the HJ catalogue.

The same shape clip is pictured on page 344 in the HJ catalogue though???? Perhaps some of the HJ owners can take some pics of their cowl clips and we can see if we can work out what is what.

It doesn't make sense that it would be on HQs, not on HJ and then on HX and HZ. It may be listed elsewhere with an incorrect part number? It may have been omitted by mistake? It may just be an anomaly??

As discussed last week, be very careful of parts catalogues and never pigeon hole a part as series specific unless certain. HQ and HJ are probably the two most variant series of them all. Parts catalogues cannot ebe trusted as they were never intended to be a historical record. They were simply a way of GMH providing a list of what parts to their dealers so they could keep secondhand cars in parts. If a part changed in some small way its part number changed, and if it fitted the earlier series then the earlier series parts listing changed.

When I have my Prem down off the hoist next i'll have a look at the clip in question. It is untouched so if a 1974 HJ had the clip it will be there. This doesn't mean 1975 and 1976 HJ have it though!

This is the clip in question. The one on the left is off my HJ and the same as the HX I bought for parts. The top part of the RS clip, on the right, is so big that it will not clip onto the firewall and the section for the wiring harness is ,again, so big that the harness simply falls out of it.
If anyone can tell me where I'm going wrong please fire away.

    --- Updated ---

And here is a pic of the HX I had......same clips in the same spot....

iv been trying to look at photos on the net for a while this morning and still couldnt find anything else out, every car i looked at was different to the next car in regards to the wiring etc

GTS send me your address and ill post out some of the other clips

the other thing to note the original clip we supplied which is being compared to the wiring loom to firewall clip doesnt go on the firewall, its i beleive for the starter motor and is on the oil pan but id have to double check that
