Does anyone know of a good place to take my bits and pieces to get zinc plated?
hinges, bonnet catch, etc..

depending on the type of plating you want to do you can get DIY kits for Zinc plating.. But if you want to hot galvanize (i think thats what its called) you need to melt the zinc.. which means it needs to to be heated to 400+ degrees.. i think electroplating can be done through kits like this

Pointless posting links to overseas suppliers, these kits contain hazardous chemicals which cannot be posted to Australia.

I haven't seen any plating kits available in Ausrtalia but if anyone knows of some available please post up thier contact details as I am sure many here would be interested.

Its an ultrasonic transducer, kinda like a really high pitched tweeter.
I got it as a kit from jaycar, but we are already planning on beefing it up to get maximum cleaning power.

essentially is a man dish washer. (a little dangerous)

ohh sweet yeah those things are cool.. can turn water into dust... anywho can you keep me updated and maybe make a post about your diy cleaner coz im looking at setting up something similar. how you going to rig it? under a crystal container or something?
