Also does anyone know where the black cable goes in the indicator assembly. It's obviously come off something and I haven't the faintest where it goes.
Cheers Valencia, I almost sold it a couple if months ago. It's actually starting to get fun again. Anyone thinking of restoring a car If you have never done it before and contemplating it... Just don't do it, it won't be cheap.

Have you wiped them down liberally with talcum powder? My new ones are quite tight still, but because of the extra weight in the doors (I lined the inside of the doors with (Focal brand) sound deadening and smothered the door seals in talc, they shut quite easily. I also fitted the seals and adjusted the doors to suit before I painted the ute. I painted it with the doors on rather than off the vehicle. I have found that I did need to leave the doors always closed as the seals took a little while to conform to shape properly.
Nunc est bibendum...
You can see both the sound deadening and the new talced seals here. The only thing I'll need to watch is that the hinges stay well lubed so the weight of the door doesn't kill the hinges.
