wow, thanks Byron. Those are interesting statistics. Wonder where all the utes have gone. :-)
Is the 1 6cyl HQ PV the one advertised on Fastlane I assume?

No idea. Some of the "possibles" are 6cyl HQ's too.
Byron do you have the colour and trim recorded for the 2 350 utes?
No, just the VINS, completion dates etc from the service/warranty records.
Cowl no. on Adel bodies is usually alongside the body plate on the passenger side.
any idea which state they were sold in? A very, very good friend of mine in Perth said to me that a guy he worked with had a 350 HQ, which he said he had bought new. This would have been around 1978 in the Dalwallinu area when my friend started working there.
I also worked with another guy in CBH Ltd in Lake Grace WA in 1985 who had a 350 HQ ute, GTS guards and all, looked really good. No idea if it was genuine though.
Both sold in Victoria by the same dealer, read the article on the Ewe't on the front page of this site. As far as I am aware someone has found the Ewe't.
Here is a 6cyl XX7 HX van
A 6cyl HX ute that was on ebay a while ago
Don't know if you have this one Byron, I took pics of it with Rodney while I was in Parkes.
This one was quite interesting, it had everything pointing to it as a Sandman except the XX7 stamped on the plate.
4/75 HJ XX7 Sandman Panelvan ... Persian Sand currently restoring
7/76 HX Monaro 4dr 308 4sp... Absinth Yellow and rusty as hell.. SOLD
3/77 HX Sandman Panelvan ... Absinth Yellow and rusty as hell .. SOLD
Thanks mate.
I didn't have the first 6cyl one recorded or the 308 HX XU3. I have the last one recorded as a non Sandman. ALWAYS be suspicious of auto Sandmans. VERY rare, and so far the hit-miss ratio os probably 5% for all those I get asked about.
