The hole in the hinge for the top tailgate bolts is huge compared to the bolt that goes through it. Question is...is there a spacer, or stepped bolt, that holds the top tailgate on or what?

gives you room for adjustment/alighnment.. I've never seen any spacers or anything in there. you need to use the original hardend steel washers not those cheep flat body washer because they squish up and tail gate moves as you do them up. Thats my take on it anyway.
