    HZ PV daily driver project.

Here is my hz base model i picked up for a daily driver. i bourght it sight up seen for a good price but the project all most turned in to a bunch of spare parts when i found a badly rusted and bogged up rh gutter the length of the van. Also the RH quatter has been replaced from tail light to door and not fitted to well. After a few months off the project i decided to keep going and see what it looks like at the other end..

    before.

    GUTTER REPAIR FROM HELL!
I cant find the pics of the gutter before and when it was all cut out and a massive gaping hole from front to back. I cut the gutter off then cut the rust out. Then patched the hole. A mate of mine that is a sheet metal worker folded up a gutter that is fairly close to the original and then i welded that to the van. these pics a the repair with no filler.

    Today's effort.

Bare metaled the LH quatter and sill. found rust in the quatter infront of the rear wheel and a large hole by the bumper and some old repaired panel damage.

    Rust free sill panel.

Rust cut out of the quatter in front of the wheel. small hole is the rust cut out of the inner skin.

After the welding a patch in the inner and outter.

    Pitted rust in the quatter

After repairs to inner and outter

yeah it is. Thankfully all the hanging panels are in alot better condition than the the van shell. I almost scraped the van for its bits. ive only done a couple of weeks worth of work on it so far, trying to turn it around quick without being making it a bog beast. I'll keep adding pics as i go.

    another day another hole

a fair bit of head scratching was done today on how to fix the HZ's badly bent beaver!
it had be hit and floded the floor down with it togetherr they held to much strenght and i could not pull it out so i had to un pick the beaver panel and remove it then panel beat the floor back up. so im now in the market for a beaver panel so i started on the window weld ins. cut out panels 10mm bigger than the window hole and put a rebate edje so the panel slips on from the back and meets neatly. weld it in bit at a time working around the panel to keep the heat down.
