These are the rare coloured Sandmans so far to look out for.

This is from the Sandman database. These are the colours not recorded in any model (body style and luxury level) for the series (HQ, HJ etc):

HJ colours (pre 5/76 colour update):

    Cyclamen (1897)
    Durham Beige (1889)
    Nutria (1893)
Sepia (1902) - have heard of a 253 van getting around

HX colours (includes HJ post 5/76):

    HJ in Sierra Tan (1919)
    HJ in Royal Plum (1918)
HJ in Berry Nice (probably the rarest of all)

    HZ colours (pre 11/78 update):

    Antelope (1894)
    Dynasty Gold (1936)
    Persian Sand MKII (1925)
    Tuxedo Black (2214)
    Ultra Blue (1932)

    Commodore colours (post 11/78):

    Ashley Grey (1948)
    Dark Carmine (1953)
    Mojave Beige (1949)
    Panama Green (1931)
Reef Green (1951) - not available on Sandman so may not exist at all
    Sandlewood (1945)
    Tuxedo Black MkII (1959)

Tuxedo is not all that rare, not as common as yellow but not rare (so far anyway).

Leroy, unfortunately the Cyclamen HJ isn't a Sandman.

The Pananas are pre 11/78 and I have some already. I'll see if I have any of those yet. It's post 11/78 that I have no Panama example.

Never heard of Orangeade as a colour.

    There's a pic here http://gallery.oldholden.com/Mr_Jone...lours.jpg.html

I have seen an HX GTS in Sunburst but the rest have escaped me so far.

Should have read the whole question re the Panamas :errf:

I'll keep my eyes open for the others

i have seen a HJ in cyclamen in WA. GVM 1950 kg 2 seat. WM body
it has had a few owners lately and is doing the rounds as people figure out the tags don't actually match the car...
i went to look at it in Australind and last i saw it advertised it was in busselton..
i put a link to it on here when it was advertised then...

also, at of the GM days over east there is a pic of a cyclamen HQ ute - not sure of its ID, i have seen the pic posted up here before from Absinth....

as for Panama, i can think of 4 off the top of my head...most of them 1977 builds from memory

I'd missed that one. When it comes up again i'll have Cyclamen covered.

    3 x Malachite, all 1979 HZ. 2 x vans and a ute.

    1917: 1 x HJ van, 2 x HX vans.

    1937: 1 x HZ van (series I). 1 x HZ ute (series II).

I've just used series I and series II for HZ to distinguish between pre and post 11/78 specs, this is not an official GMH moniker, just used it for ease of discussion.
