haha no its not. I try but I'm a IT network engineer. I'm really not good at this sort of thing and its not a high dollar resto (lucky my mates are good). In the end it will be the best I can do and hopefully the result is I can just drive it to the coast and roar around a bit. No nut and bolt, everything date coded, put it on a rotisserie here. Underneath can stay as it is.

I'm using all HQ parts where practicable and will paint and use the original colours inside and out. Learnt a bit about mig welding and how to paint stuff and lots of other things. All good fun.

I did try and drop around and visit you over the xmas break but there looked like no life at home. Ill get there one weekend I'm at Mossy Point when I get some time from the kids.

A quirky colour called Cognac Metallic... doubt I will park next to another one ever. Not in Canberra anyway... not too many older cars still on the road here.

I unpicked one as well. Ended up changing it. I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting wet feet every time I went around a corner when it was raining so that meant getting in and having a look inside. It wasn't too bad really. Very localised rust around the edges near the windscreen and where the rubber strip goes along the bonnet. The floors are perfect in her so it didn't leak much then. No rust in the door jam pillars or anywhere around the plenium\firewall... just the top side of the cowl.
