rare '71 hq van with no vents

ummmmm.... a '71 with no vents in the side and doesnt need a compliance plate....

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWAX:IT

there mustn,t be many of these oldies left as there is no van catagory to list.

i am selling the old HQ van on behalf of my relative who has never sold on ebay before. he can be contacted for more details if i haven,t enough information in this description.his number is ..04 17 02 17 84

as you can see it has half side windows. the van is from n.s.w country so there is very little rust. lower inside rear tailgate and pimple patches on lower rear guard, drivers side. pretty straight allround.

the motor is a 308 V8 from HZ. with t bar automatic 3 speed g/box. the van is driveable and in going concern. the front apron and bonnet is off a later model but there is a spare hq apron and radiator support in the rear. hasn,t been registered for some time.has set of hotwire wheels.new muffler sysem worth $500.ne rear wheel cylinder.black carpet, brown seats, no centre console. towbar.

the bonnet is positioned up at the rear. maybe hinges. the van is in original condition. interior needs a bit of a tidying up,but overall this van is in sound condition for nearly it.s 40 years of age.

made in 1971. model HQ80170, body 329395B, trim 1888 39A, paint 568 15951, chassis..FHQ 07131690. Engine 308...QR 385690.there is no compliance plate. a revs check has come back O.K. a new plate can be re-issued as van was made before 1978.a letter can confirm this.

the van is located at yass, near canberra if u would like to see before u buy.

engine number and prefix is for a 253 of early 70s vintage...
chassis number should be ehq not fhq which would make it a 1974 therefore having no side vents..
and that is why one tag is missing coz they are not a matched set..
and you cannot get tags re issued.:knockout:

H329395 is from a Sept 74 Bris HQ as Ozbox has stated, therefore no vents.

1888 and 15951 is Cotillion White, an HJ colour.

Would love to see the letter that REVS send you regarding reissuing compliance plates

I think you have the chassis no. almost right EHQ713169B which is in the right time frame
