    Tan 67V paint code

Does anyone know the exact paint numbers to mix up Tan 67v, I got onto a small pot the other day from a friend, he took the numbers off the side when he gave me the tin, and said he would use it to make up some more when needed, (both of our hz vans are 67v). I took the pot home, and it was exactly the colour we needed to paint the upper dash, console, kicks, handbrake, and armrest, now the colour code has disappeared, and the paint shop is re-matching but using a sample of what he previously made up. It would be useful to know the recipe though.....We need another 1/2l itre to finish off....and is there a different paint available for steel versus vinyl....?

thanks in advance if anyone does know.

So far as I know vinyl paint is different. It has to be able to flex heaps more so it dosnt crack when you push on it.
Cant help you with the code but if you go to the holden dealer they will have the code but probably wont be able to mix it for you. They told me in Dubbo that they could order it through Melbourne though.

Its acrylic and thats why its hard to get it anywhere including small country Holden dealerships as they dont use acrylic anymore. Well thats what I have found in my attempts in Dubvegas to get the exact paint.
I had the codes that Absinth put up for the dash facia silver paint and Western paint looked at me as if I had two heads which was a bit frustrating. I reckon there could be a small sideline for someone to mix up some of these small quantities of old style paints.
Maybe there wouldnt be enough demand to make it worthwhile.

I live a couple of hours north of Jason on the west coast of SA, but I am planning a road trip to Echuca, Kaniva and Bathurst at some stage next year.

When's the van nats? Might need to make the trip coincide.

    Hi Jennie

    There are a few paint codes listed in the old Dulux book for tan trim. They are listed as follows;
    1974/75 Trim
    Tan 17057
    Tan 17117

    1974/82 Trim
    Tan 17211

I have found in the past, there is a differnce in shade between trim codes as well.

    hope that helps

    cheers
    Mick
