    More EBay madness

    What is going on here?

$200 for a battery tray. OK so it is still new but that just means it is painted with a sticker on it.

I've seen very few originals that aren't rusted out. That's only just over twice the price of the new rares one.

Not saying I'd pay it, but I'd see how someone wanting to do a concourse resto would.

I just sold one the other day to a bloke for $20. It had surface rust only. Don't tell me that I under sold it.:errf:

I have seen plenty around that have only minor surface rust. Bit of a scrubb and some paint and they are as good as new.

I guess they paid for the 'already done' work - a buy and fit straight in job. I agree. $200 is a little overboard. Restoring something is half the fun. Why wouldn't you buy a second hand battery tray and restore it yourself. Such a simple job with a whole lotta x-factor!

Bloke who bought it may be able to earn $125 an hour doing other stuff, so to him it's cheap at $200.

Plus the seller probably had a mate bidding up the price. Look at some of his other stuff. $200 each for used 245 BF goodriches? If they sell for that I'm pulling the tyres off all my cars and listing them on Ebay. Got a stack of 8 and 10 inch rims with good 245 and 265 tyres.

Question in regards to these : http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Holden-GTS-Sa...item3f0665726a

Not being anal or anything but if they are 14 x 7 to suit A9X, wouldn't they have 14 x 7 written on them?
Also that looks like 10/73 to me and i don't think the A9X was out then.

They look like 14x6 HQ GTS rims to me. A9X were 14x6 too but a different offset. L34 had no markings as GMH built them in house, A9X were built by ROH or whomever did the other Aussie GTS rims (early ones were Canadian made).

the 14x7 rims have been modified with a standard type offset an as byron said l34/a9x were 14x6 with a pontiac style offset..
    the wb van looks shit..
someone really wanted those 2 rims...
and someone got a bargain if they arent all buckled and gutter scraped like so many second hand pontiac rims...
if people realised how much work and money goes into painting a rally 2/gts rim they would just buy new 15 inch ones from rocket....
