National Drive-In Night

A few years ago, maybe 2006 or 07, there was a National Drive-In Night. The promo said "Five States, Five Drive-Ins, How many vans?" We even tried sending images to a single mobile number in each state with a laptop on a tailgate in the back row for all to see what was happening around the country. It was a way for everyone to be part of a large van event like the Van Nats, but without the traveling or expense. It was long before social networking became mainstream.

Maybe it is time for another old skool event with new skool technology.

I know the Sundowner Club in Sydney is having a Drive-In Night on 15 Jan (roughly 100 days before the Van Nats). If that is not too soon, there's a starting point.
