Gday,
Very interesting reading...
In my case, to CHANGE the original colour of my dash to a preferred darker shade, I went all out & removed the windscreen etc so I could give it a good spray, so I wouldnt get a 'two tone' effect...
Cheers

Our HZ Sandman 63v trim code (Buckskin) has the two tone as well dark crash pad and light bottom doesn't appear to have ever been changed.
Gday,
For those with this rare two-tone dash... how many owners had your vehicle belonged to previously?
Cheers
all buckskin had a two tone dash. Crash pad was different. glovebox was same colour as thhe side of the lower dash facia. Console was a different colour again.
I have heaps of this info somewhere. Will did it up on the weekend.

seems we have uncovered something nobody has thought about before
after looking through a few photo's of interiors seems alot are two tone pretty sure mine isn't standard and is all black so no two tone.. interesting
Is it possible that the colours have changed over time? different types of plastic may hold the dies differently and fade at different rates..
Just a thought.
i dont think so as there are no inconsistency in any of the colours
They are not two tone...... different materials and textures reflect light differently. If you get some vinyl spray and spray the lower dash plastic and the crashpad with the same can the crashpad will appear darker.... unless you use black. If you spray your door trims they will also appear darker.
Bare in mind also that the lower dash plastic's, console etc. are painted, the door trims and crashpad are dye impregnated. If the parts were outsourced through different suppliers than colour variations occur with different paint or dye batches.
